Type: Digital Advertisement

“SURYA” began as a creative experiment to reconstruct an existing commercial through the lens of generative AI. The project started from a simple question: how deeply can artificial intelligence participate in the creative process of video production? By reimagining a familiar advertisement using emerging AI tools, the work became both a test and a statement about the evolving relationship between human intuition and machine capability.
The production process unfolded as a dialogue between control and discovery. Each sequence was crafted through multiple iterations, balancing aesthetic precision with the unpredictable nature of AI generation. The result is a visual experiment that demonstrates how technology can amplify, but never replace, the human spark that drives creativity.

Director’s Statement

In “SURYA”, I wanted to examine the tension and harmony between human creativity and artificial intelligence. Rather than seeing AI as a replacement, I treated it as a collaborator, a tool that challenges, surprises, and expands the way we think about image-making.
This project reflects my belief that the future of advertising will not be purely technological, but human at its core. As generative tools evolve, their true potential lies in how they enhance our emotional storytelling, not how they automate it. “SURYA” stands as a reminder that innovation begins with curiosity, and that creativity, in any era, remains a profoundly human act.

Tools Used

Midjourney Used for text-to-image generation, establishing the visual tone, atmosphere, and reference concepts that guided the entire recreation process.
KlingAI Applied to transform static imagery into motion, building the foundation for dynamic storytelling and maintaining the visual essence of the original commercial.
Minimax Hailuo Used for alternative image-to-video generation, adding variations in motion and perspective that enriched the rhythm of the final cut.
RunwayML Applied for further generative video sequences and compositing, enabling the integration of multiple AI outputs into cohesive cinematic moments.
Adobe Photoshop Used to refine AI-generated images with retouching, lighting correction, and texture adjustments for visual consistency.
Adobe Premiere Pro Handled the post-editing phase, where all sequences were structured, timed, and aligned to the narrative flow of the advertisement.
DaVinci Resolve Used for final color grading and tonal balancing, ensuring the film maintained a polished, cinematic quality that aligned with modern advertising standards.
