I was tasked to rebrand Museum Wayang in Jakarta to give a much more modern look while still trying to keep the craft of shadow craft alive and well represented to the current generation. This project includes a branding guide and designing various merchandises from posters to souvenirs to signages.
I was determined to give the museum and craft a totally different, newer look such that people can once again appreciate the beauty of the art form, especially in today’ urbanised society where time is little. However, while trying to modernise the art form such that it would still be relevant in today’s world, I was determined to keep certain aspects of it true and original to the traditional form through preserving the art of shadow play and the intricacy of the craft.
