Introducing Alessia...

Hi, future clients!

I'd like to introduce myself so we can get to know each other a tiny bit better 👋

A bit about me. I am a writer, editor, and teacher. I was born and raised in New York, where I currently reside. It's the place I happily call "home." Professionally, I've been a writer for 8 years, but realistically, it's been longer than that.

Since I was able to hold a pen to paper, I was a writer. Be it diary entries, make believe magazines (with my headshot labeled "Editor-in-Chief," of course), or the poetry I wrote when my sixth grade teacher scolded me in front of the whole class. Yep... as writers, we carry a lot of emotions, don't we?

In high school, I loved English class. So much so, that I went off to earn a Master's Degree in Secondary English Education. But before that, I received my undergraduate degree in English, concentrating on writing, minoring in Journalism. Boy, did I love it, too. I started my editing addiction when I became a copy editor of the school newspaper. Before I knew it, I was a senior editor, as well as the Op-Ed editor of the entire newspaper. I was so proud to write and edit so often. As much work as it was, I enjoyed every minute of it. I loved having a group of writers submitting articles to me to edit. Even the most perfect pieces of writing needed edits. And hey, that's okay - it's what I'm here for. It's what I love to do. I believe that loving what you do is a huge part in being great at what you do. So take what you will from this. I can guarantee my professionalism, attentiveness, and creativity when working with you. And I will enjoy every minute of it!

So, now here I am. An English teacher with a craving to help individuals, even outside the classroom.
