Pablo Ascencao

In my recent assignments, I have been responsible for building and managing teams for clients, including onboarding, guiding, and providing technical assistance. I also handled client relationships, ensuring effective partnership between the client and Globant. This role involved technical leadership on client projects while coordinating with other teams to ensure alignment.
One notable achievement was the establishment of a Testing Center of Quality, where I onboarded 26 team members for a three-month period, after which the team size was reduced to 12. This project highlighted my ability to manage large teams and adapt to changing needs.
Over the past few years, I have developed my skills as a technical leader across multiple teams. A significant experience was leading an interdisciplinary team consisting of a data engineer, backend developer, frontend developer, marketing advisor, DevOps team, QA, and BA, while coordinating with the client’s mobile team. In this role, I was actively involved in technical discussions and project definitions with client architects and other vendors’ technicians, and I delivered presentations and demonstrations on project progress.
In a more recent role, I led a frontend (Angular) team on a non-agile project. Despite facing challenges with a difficult client manager resistant to improvements, I successfully proposed and implemented solutions such as SonarQube and elements of Scrum methodology. My efforts earned the respect of my team and recognition from my company.
As a Tech Lead, I have provided feedback to team members, facilitated recategorizations for deserving individuals, and supported their career growth. I have also mentored emerging tech leads, ensuring their successful transition into leadership roles. This approach has consistently yielded positive results and contributed to the development of future leaders.
