Point-of-Sale App Design and Development

Contractor with Aegis Administration. Provided UX research, design and front-end development expertise for the client’s Point-of-Sale application project.

Worked with clients to create a project plan spanning 6+ months of UX research, design, and development workflows. Discussed pain points with existing product workflows and held knowledge transfer with backend developer to understand the existing technology stack and APIs.

Researched client’s industry, partners/vendors, and competitors. Created customer personas based on research on client’s consumer demographics.

Worked on UX wireframes of the Point-of-Sale application in Penpot, an open source UX design tool that was also used to create prototypes for online collaboration with the team. Wireframes were low-to-mid fidelity to visualize user flow and provide a layout of the user interface components.

Began high fidelity design of the app in Penpot, as well as created the foundation of the client’s UX design system for future use and potential white labeling.
