Probably the most exciting project of 2020 was producing a Hip-Hop Track for up and coming artist JVish. "King" was set to be his first release, and it felt great to make a piece of music that helped break him out of his shell.
The project was simple, create something refreshing, lively and absolutely kicking. The point was to make something feel orchestral and timeless at the same time, and with that, creating a song about chasing your dreams was born.
Having produced, mixed and mastered the entire release, I definitely feel honored that I could make something so meaningful!
Shortly after the release of "King" JVish and I quickly got to working on another release. He'd mentioned all the anxieties and stress he'd been facing while working during his day job.
His next release "Lie Awake" was a new challenge, because it needed a new sound. We turned to making the song seen a lot more laid back, using more acoustic elements (ie using the acoustic guitar as a drum), and creating a more melodic chorus. This song definitely shines a light towards how today's world can be taxing on those trying to make their way.
