Working with the client directly, I began developing the Airs logo, CD case, and liner notes booklet. I designed original black-letter style typography for the primary mark, with a matching Gothic-style emblem of a kite. Through the process I refined the type hierarchy, improved clarity of the pages, and interfaced directly with the print vendor in Germany to hand-off files for the disc imprint and booklet assembly. The liner booklet features original illustrations drawn by George Andrade (the lyricist of AIRS), on handmade distressed paper. Every crinkle and imperfection completely unique, representing the idea of heritage and heirs - a core thread in the story.
