1TapSolution: Product Redesign, Web App UI & Launch Video

The brief
1TapSolution sells contactless ordering to restaurants, cafés and hospitality venues. Guests scan a QR code or tap an NFC stand at the table and order from their phone, with no app to download.
The product worked, but it needed to look and feel like something a restaurant owner would trust and pay for. I was brought in as a solo freelancer to:
Redesign the guest ordering experience so it feels like the venue’s own branded menu.
Redesign the restaurant admin panel for desktop and mobile.
Create a reusable website template that each venue can launch with.
Produce a launch video the sales team can show to any restaurant owner in under two minutes.
What I delivered
Guest ordering app (mobile web)
A venue-branded menu with photos, categories, search, and live offers.
Item customisation, a cart, and a table-confirmed checkout.
A live order tracker: Received, Accepted, Preparing, Ready.
A star rating and review after each order.
Bangla and English support.
Restaurant admin panel (desktop and mobile)
Overview: today’s cash, orders, active tables, low-stock alerts and a 7-day chart.
Live orders: a one-click flow from New to Collected, with chime alerts.
Counter screen: a large “Ready, please collect” display for pickups.
Menu and offers, inventory (pending orders reserve stock), tables with print-ready QR cards, reviews, reports with CSV export, and cash closing.
A separate mobile layout with a bottom tab bar, so staff can run service from the floor.
Venue website template
A ready-to-launch site template for each venue, with a hero section, story, menu highlights and a direct link into ordering. It’s shown here with the demo venue, Elegant Coffee & Cafe.
Launch video (motion design)
A 1:52 product film that shows both sides of the counter at once: the guest’s iPhone on one side, the restaurant’s desktop and staff phone on the other.
It follows one order from the QR scan to the kitchen, the ready screen and the review, then tours the owner tools.
It includes a voiceover, subtle music and UI sound design.
Key design decisions
Zero install. Everything runs in Safari or Chrome, because a guest won’t download an app for one coffee.
The venue’s brand comes first. The guest menu carries the restaurant’s name, colours and photos.
Same system on every screen. The desktop and mobile admin share one logic, and the mobile layout is built for one-handed use.
Cash is a first-class payment. Payment, tracking and end-of-day closing are designed around venues that still run on cash.
Stock can’t oversell. Pending orders reserve inventory automatically.
Result
1TapSolution now has one consistent product across the guest app, admin panel, venue sites and marketing site. The team uses a live demo venue to show every feature, and has a launch video for sales calls, social media and the website.
My role
I worked solo on this project, covering UX, UI design, frontend build, the venue template and the full motion design video.
