Challenge

Edbox had numerous ideas for the design and interaction of their platform. The challenge was to transform these ideas into a focused, engaging product that students would find valuable and use consistently.
We concentrated on minimizing distractions, scoping the initial version, and validating the design through iterative student testing to ensure market fit.

Impact

The prototype and final design enabled Edbox to validate market fit successfully. This achievement helped them secure Innovasjon Norge's Oppstart 2 funding and onboard their first engineer to begin development.

Key Insight

Don’t say something stupid

Fear of judgment often prevents students from asking questions during class, which reduces engagement and negatively impacts learning outcomes.

Aha moments

User testing revealed that the originally planned anonymous 1-1 chat feature was unnecessary and should be removed. This decision allowed us to focus on features with greater potential to drive engagement.
