Kabalega/Murchison Falls is located on the Victoria Nile just before it reaches Lake Albert in Western Uganda. At the top of the Falls, the Nile forces its massive 300 cubic meters per second of water through an 8m (26ft) wide gorge and plunges 45m before flowing calmly into Lake Albert. That and two other cascades plus several rapids provide a sight to behold; both before and after the falls.
