J°HONA, BEAUTY MADE FOR US

This was a fantasy concept that I had for a luxury beauty brand for women of color. I started working on it after designing for other beauty brands and feeling restricted with how far we could push the boundaries. It was a great practice project and really helped me think of ways to design and ideate for all facets of a brand from the tagline to the product selection to the website. It was also fun to design with no limitations such as budget, ingredients, etc. since it was just a personal project. All imagery is pulled swipe. I wanted to represent women in a more ethereal, high end, editorial way. Content that really gave women a platform to tell their story in their way was also important. Where are these women from? What are some things they can share about their culture?
