The Lunar calendar is another dating system that is quite used in the country I live in. Quite, because we do not use it in our daily lives, but only to mark the special occasions that our culture celebrates. Moreover, I live in a country where we do not celebrate its new year country-wide, so it has always been something I only mindlessly follow every year.It was a waste for such a culturally rich event to be disregarded like that by us, I think. And this work is my response to that. 1 out of the 5 red packets in this is a brief peek into the Lunar New Year; it tells the story of the myth behind it, as well as the myth behind something you probably often see in the streets: lion dance. Perhaps, if we know more about the event, we may put more thought and appreciation into it.
