Character Design: The Anti-Cuddle Feline Prototypes
Not every mascot needs to be soft, and not every brand asset should play it safe. This collection is a deliberate departure from the overly sanitized world of pet aesthetics. I designed these hyper-realistic, conceptually edgy feline prototypes to test the boundaries of character design and audience emotional response. They are weird, slightly unsettling, and immediately memorable—exactly what a brand needs to cut through the noise. This is about injecting friction into the narrative.
This project serves as a case study in high-fidelity AI asset generation and rapid prototyping for physical merchandise. The objective was to engineer digital textures—worn velvet, matted fur, distressed stitching—that translate seamlessly into physical product specs and expand the visual universe of an existing brand framework.
The Architecture of the Build:
Aesthetic Subversion: Shifting from standard 'cute' to the 'uncanny' to target a niche demographic within the broader tech-driven lifestyle infrastructure.
Texture Engineering: Utilizing advanced prompting for hyper-specific tactile qualities, creating a photorealistic roadmap for potential manufacturing.
Narrative Expansion: Building out peripheral, edgy characters to provide sharp contrast and depth within a larger, established brand ecosystem.
These aren't just creepy dolls. They are highly calculated narrative anchors designed to provoke a reaction, test visual storytelling limits, and serve as structural prototypes for physical world-building.
