The Story Two timelines, Rumi and Shams in 13th-century Konya, and two present-day flatmates finding their Guru. One argument: love and longing are unchanged across centuries.
The Challenge Same stage furniture across both timelines. The sets had to move the audience between eras without contradicting what was physically on stage. Every environment designed twice.
Process Script first. 22 LED cues, 10+ environment designs, each mapped to a scene and emotional register. Historical sets fact-checked against Konya's architecture and Sufi visual culture.
Output Performed live on LED stage screens twice. Further shows planned.

A series of animated backdrop environments designed for live LED stage production — translating the mysticism and spatial poetry of Rumi into motion. Each set was conceived as a visual landscape that responds to the emotional arc of the performance: stillness, longing, dissolution, light. Inspired by the architecture of Konya and the geometry of Sufi thought, the visual language blends organic motion with structured calligraphic forms.
