Case Study: How I Transformed Fracsio’s ESG Tokenization Vision

First Contact

I had no idea that one LinkedIn notification could change the trajectory of my career until I received a message from Mark C. Mah, founder of Fracsio. He had stumbled across my profile and was intrigued by my work with MakerDAO. His project involved ESG tokenization, something closely aligned with what MakerDAO does—tokenizing assets for decentralized finance. And just like that, we were jumping on a video call, where he laid out his vision.
I’ll admit, I had to blink a few times to wrap my head around the idea. ESG RWA tokenization? It wasn’t exactly something that had a Wikipedia page or a “For Dummies” guide. But I was up for the challenge—after all, the complexity was part of the appeal.

Cracking the Code

Mark needed someone who could bring clarity to the chaos. The project was ambitious, but his website looked like a conspiracy theorist’s dream—flowcharts, acronyms, and technical jargon everywhere. You’d think it was an algorithm puzzle instead of a business pitch. The first task on the table? Website copy revamp.
I offered to help out, but I made it clear: no trust, no magic. So, we started with baby steps. Paid website copywriting first. After that, we’d see if I was going to be the copywriter he was looking for. Spoiler alert: I was.

The Research Gauntlet

Now, when I say I had to do research, I mean research. I spent days going through ESG articles, academic journals, whitepapers, even those late-night YouTube interviews where tech founders talk in circles for hours. My head was buzzing. But I wasn’t about to quit. Eventually, I drafted a set of clear, concise questions and sent them to Mark. That was the turning point.
His response? “Finally! Someone who gets it.”
Okay, not in those exact words, but the relief was mutual.

The Collaboration

Once we were on the same page, things started rolling. We worked in GSuite, breaking down the content section by section. The revisions were numerous—at least four rounds of back-and-forth. And trust me, this wasn’t your standard “tweak a headline” kind of thing. We had to comply with some of the strictest regulations in Singapore for promoting securities, meaning no hype, no salesy promises. We had to keep it grounded, realistic, and still engaging.
It took three weeks. Three weeks of dodging regulatory landmines, figuring out how to translate heavy technical content into digestible material. But in the end, we cracked it.

The Critical Moment

When I hit "send" on the final draft, I had that feeling—you know the one—where you’re both anxious and proud at the same time. Would he like it? Would I have to rewrite everything? And then the feedback came:
“You nailed it.”
Those three words. That’s all I needed. Mark was impressed, not just by the copy, but by the process. It wasn’t easy working within the regulatory confines, but hey, when less than 1% of copywriters know how to navigate that terrain, you learn to make it work.

The Invitation

And just like that, I went from copywriter to content manager. Mark extended an invitation to join the Fracsio team, and we worked together to launch two security token offerings—Southeastern Asia Solar Series and the recently concluded SEA Supply Chain Financing. We’re talking big moves in a space that’s still finding its legs.
In the end, Mark’s vision became clearer to investors, the project's tokens got listed on major exchanges like IX Swap, and I learned a ton about writing for an industry where creativity and compliance are constantly wrestling for the spotlight.
"Tolulope brought clarity to our complex business model in a way that exceeded our expectations. His ability to distill intricate ESG tokenization concepts into clear, investor-friendly messaging was invaluable. His patience, expertise, and commitment, especially given the regulatory challenges, were impressive. Thanks to his work, we successfully launched two security token offerings. I couldn’t have asked for a better content partner." – Mark Mah, Founder of Fracsio.
