Children's Bible Stories — Writing & Illustration

A personal project creating engaging, illustrated children's Bible stories designed for Christian books and ministries. The goal was to make scripture feel accessible, warm, and visually exciting for young readers.

Each story started with selecting a Bible passage and asking: how do we make this land for a 4-to-8-year-old? The writing needed to be simple without being shallow, and the illustrations needed to carry the emotional weight of each scene.

I wrote the narratives first, keeping sentences short and rhythmic so they work well for read-aloud. Then I developed illustrations to match each story beat, focusing on expressive characters, warm lighting, and compositions that guide a child's eye across the page.

The illustrations use a 3D rendering style with soft, rounded character forms and rich color palettes. Every scene is designed to feel inviting and safe, with enough visual detail to reward repeat readings.

Warm color palettes to create a sense of comfort and trust

This project demonstrates my ability to handle both writing and illustration for faith-based children's content. It's relevant for Christian publishers, churches, ministries, and parents looking for original illustrated Bible stories.
