Daahuk Website

Daahuk started with an aim to connect the urban population with the beauty of the Tanguar Haor, a unique wetland ecosystem in Bangladesh. Daahuuk offers people a chance to experience the natural beauty of the haor, connect with its people and empower them economically. In addition to food, accommodation and sightseeing, Daahuk has multiple projects in collaboration with locals where guests can invest and boost the economy of the community. Sustainable tourism and community empowerment is at the core of Daahuk’s mission. 

I was tasked to design their website keeping this philosophy in mind. Unlike a lot of travel sites, with a primary focus on bookings and lead generation, Dahuuk’s website needed to serve as a taste of the Tanguar Haor experience. I designed the website with two core messages to communicate—Experience the unique natural beauty of the haor and empower the lives of the people of the haor.
