SOLÉNE BEAUTY — Cosmetics Campaign & Social Media Content
01. Project Overview
SOLÉNE BEAUTY is a fictional cosmetics brand created for a premium product-launch campaign centered around a signature dusty-rose lipstick.
The project explores how coordinated social media content can introduce a beauty product, communicate its visual appeal, and help potential customers discover a shade that fits their personal style.
I developed a three-piece campaign consisting of a 10-second product video, a static product-launch advertisement, and a carousel-style shade-discovery creative.
Each asset serves a different purpose while maintaining a consistent brand identity, product presentation, and campaign message.
Industry: Beauty & Cosmetics
Project Type: Product Campaign & Social Media Content
Deliverables: 1 Video + 2 Image Creatives
Role: Creative Strategist, Content Creator & Social Media Designer
02. The Challenge
Beauty products compete in a highly visual market where packaging, color, texture, and presentation influence how customers perceive a product.
A single product image may attract attention, but potential buyers also need a reason to explore the shade, understand the product's appeal, and imagine how it fits into their everyday routine.
The challenge was to develop content that combined premium beauty aesthetics with clear marketing communication, without making every post feel like the same advertisement.
03. Campaign Objectives
The campaign was designed to:
Introduce the signature lipstick through premium visual storytelling.
Establish a recognizable visual identity for SOLÉNE BEAUTY.
Highlight the lipstick's dusty-rose shade and satin-finish positioning.
Create distinct content formats for product discovery and consideration.
Encourage audiences to explore the product and discover their preferred shade.
Demonstrate how coordinated social creatives can support a product launch.
04. Target Audience
The intended audience includes adult beauty consumers who enjoy wearable makeup, elegant product packaging, and versatile shades for everyday looks.
The campaign particularly speaks to makeup enthusiasts, professionals, and shoppers who appreciate understated beauty and products that can transition from everyday wear to special occasions.
The creative direction was designed to feel modern, inclusive, aspirational, and approachable.
05. My Role
I approached the project from both a creative and marketing perspective.
My responsibilities included:
Campaign concept development.
Creative direction and visual planning.
Product positioning and messaging.
Video concept and shot planning.
Product-focused visual storytelling.
Static advertising creative development.
Carousel content planning.
Brand consistency across deliverables.
CTA development and content-purpose alignment.
The focus was to ensure that each asset communicated a clear message while contributing to the same campaign.
06. Campaign Strategy
The central campaign message was:
“COLOR THAT FEELS LIKE YOU.”
This concept positions makeup as a personal expression of style and confidence.
Rather than creating three repetitive promotional assets, I structured the campaign around three complementary stages:
1. Attract — Product Video
Use cinematic product shots, lipstick details, and a beauty portrait to introduce the product and capture attention.
2. Present — Launch Advertisement
Showcase the lipstick with clear campaign messaging and a premium visual hierarchy.
3. Explore — Shade-Discovery Carousel
Help the audience engage with the shade concept through coordinated product imagery and beauty-focused storytelling.
Together, the deliverables create a connected campaign journey from product discovery to consideration.
07. Creative Direction & Visual Identity
The visual direction combines contemporary cosmetics advertising with understated luxury.
Color palette: Dusty rose, warm nude, blush beige, champagne gold, and espresso brown.
Photography: Detailed product close-ups, realistic cosmetic textures, soft studio lighting, and refined beauty portraits.
Typography: Elegant serif headlines paired with clean sans-serif supporting text.
The goal was to create an elevated beauty aesthetic without excessive decoration or distracting graphic elements.
08. Deliverable One — Hero Product Video
Campaign line: “Color That Feels Like You.”
The 10-second video introduces the signature lipstick through a short, visually engaging product story.
It opens with a close-up product reveal, moves into detailed shots of the lipstick's color and texture, and transitions to a beauty portrait before closing with the brand and a product-discovery CTA.
The sequence is designed to communicate the product's visual appeal quickly and leave a memorable impression.
Creative elements:
Macro lipstick and packaging shots.
Smooth camera movement and refined transitions.
Dusty-rose color storytelling.
Beauty-editorial portraiture.
Consistent brand styling.
A clear closing frame and CTA.
Marketing purpose: Product awareness and collection discovery.
09. Deliverable Two — Product Launch Advertisement
Headline: “Color That Feels Like You.”
The static advertisement presents the lipstick as the hero product against a warm, premium studio background.
The layout combines product photography, a clear headline, concise supporting copy, and a direct call to action.
The visual hierarchy ensures that the audience notices the product first, understands the campaign message second, and sees the next step clearly.
Marketing purpose: Product introduction and consideration.
The creative is designed for use as an organic social post or as a starting point for a paid product-promotion campaign.
10. Deliverable Three — Shade-Discovery Carousel
Campaign concept: “Meet Your New Everyday Shade.”
The carousel extends the campaign beyond a single product advertisement by giving the audience a more interactive way to explore the lipstick.
The three-slide concept includes:
Slide 1 — The Introduction: Present the signature dusty-rose lipstick and introduce the campaign.
Slide 2 — The Color: Showcase the shade through a realistic beauty portrait and product-focused imagery.
Slide 3 — The Invitation: Reinforce the campaign message and encourage viewers to discover the product.
The carousel uses consistent typography, product styling, and color treatment to maintain a cohesive brand experience.
Marketing purpose: Shade discovery, audience interaction, and product consideration.
11. Product Storytelling
The campaign communicates the product through three complementary visual angles.
Product: Show the lipstick's packaging, shape, and shade.
Experience: Use beauty imagery to communicate the intended aesthetic and everyday makeup appeal.
Discovery: Encourage the audience to explore the product through a clear, accessible CTA.
This approach gives each content format a distinct purpose instead of repeating the same product shot across the campaign.
12. Social Media Distribution
The creative assets were planned with several potential marketing applications in mind:
Instagram Reels: The short product video introduces the lipstick through motion and detail.
Instagram Feed: The static creative presents the product and campaign message.
Instagram Carousel: The shade-discovery concept encourages viewers to explore multiple slides.
Facebook: The video and static assets can be adapted for product discovery and promotion.
Paid Social: The creatives can serve as starting points for testing different visual hooks and messaging.
E-commerce: Selected product imagery can complement product listings and collection pages.
Each placement would require appropriate formatting and testing before publication.
13. Creative Production Workflow
The workflow began with campaign ideation and a defined visual direction.
I established the product concept, campaign headline, color palette, and visual style before developing the three deliverables.
The production process focused on keeping the lipstick packaging, shade, typography, and overall aesthetic consistent across the campaign.
The final review criteria included:
Product consistency and visual clarity.
Realistic packaging and cosmetic details.
Correct brand spelling and readable text.
Balanced composition and typography.
Cohesive color treatment across assets.
Clear messaging and appropriate CTAs.
AI-assisted visual production supported the creative development process, while the campaign itself remained focused on the product and its marketing purpose.
14. Tools & Production
Google Flow: Product video and visual scene development.
ChatGPT: Campaign ideation, messaging, and creative planning.
Only tools actually used in the final production should be listed in the published case study.
15. Deliverables Summary
One 10-second lipstick campaign video.
One static product-launch advertisement.
One three-slide shade-discovery carousel concept.
Campaign headline and supporting copy.
Creative direction and product storytelling.
Coordinated visual identity across all three deliverables.
16. Intended Outcomes
The project demonstrates how a cosmetics brand can use a small set of coordinated social media assets to introduce a product and communicate its appeal across different content formats.
The video establishes the campaign's visual identity, the static advertisement highlights the product, and the carousel provides an additional way to explore the shade concept.
The project is a portfolio concept; no live client performance, engagement, or sales results are claimed.
17. Final Takeaway
Effective beauty content combines attractive product presentation with a clear reason for the audience to pay attention.
For SOLÉNE BEAUTY, I developed a coordinated campaign around one signature lipstick, translating the central message into a product video, a launch advertisement, and a shade-discovery carousel.
The result is a cohesive concept campaign demonstrating creative direction, product storytelling, social media content creation, and marketing-focused design.
Project Status: Concept Project — developed to demonstrate cosmetics campaign and social media content capabilities.
