1. Problem & Context
People lose valuable items every day, but there is no structured, location-aware way to report or discover lost and found items online. FoundHub set out to make it easy for communities to report, search, and reconnect owners with their belongings.
2. Goal of the MVP
Validate that people would actively use a simple lost-and-found platform with map-based reporting and discovery.
3. My Role & Stack
I worked on end-to-end product engineering:
Built lost and found reporting flows
Integrated Google Maps for precise location tagging
Implemented filtering, search, and contact workflows
Stack: Next.js, Supabase, Google Maps API
4. Approach & Key Decisions
Simple 3-step flow: Report → Search → Recover
Support both Lost Items and Found Items
Allow exact location pin-drop on Google Maps
Add filters by category and location for fast discovery
Enable direct contact via email, phone, or social links
5. Outcome & Impact
Users can now report and locate items with precise map context
Faster reunions between owners and finders
MVP validated strong interest in community-driven recovery
Foundation ready for city-level or campus-level rollouts
