Nurtura, An AI Powered Breastfeeding Companion (MVP)
Project Context
Nurtura was conceived as a Minimum Viable Product to validate a startup idea and demonstrate traction, usability, and technical feasibility to potential investors.
The client’s primary need was not a fully scaled product, but a credible, functional MVP that could clearly communicate the value proposition, core user experience, and long term scalability of the platform.
To achieve this within a tight timeline, AI assisted development tools were intentionally used to accelerate build speed while maintaining a production ready structure.

My Role
Product Designer, UX Strategist, and AI Assisted Developer (Vibe Coder)
I owned the product end to end, from problem definition and user experience design to AI assisted implementation and technical structure.
My responsibilities included
Translating the client’s idea into a clear MVP scope
Designing user flows, information architecture, and core interactions
Defining the UX principles focused on reducing cognitive load for breastfeeding mothers
Using AI tools to generate and structure the React Native application
Reviewing, refining, and aligning AI generated code with the product vision
Ensuring the MVP was credible for investor demos and future scaling
This hybrid role allowed design decisions to flow directly into implementation without handoff friction.

The Problem
The client identified a gap in how breastfeeding mothers currently manage information, tracking, and emotional support.
Key challenges included
Tracking feedings, pumping, sleep, and diapers across fragmented tools
Lack of personalized insights from existing solutions
Educational content not aligned with real usage patterns or baby age
Absence of built in peer support
Long development cycles that slow down startup validation
The client needed to prove that one thoughtfully designed app could address these challenges holistically.
