Background of the project:
DM - Drogerie Markt, the beloved drugstore chain popular in central and southern European countries, has taken their customer experience to the next level with the introduction of (now called) Moj DM (moj meaning mine), their loyalty app. However, the app's 2021 (slovenian) version fell short, plagued by lag and numerous UX/UI issues. Ambiguous navigation, non-optimized access to the online store, even tabs lacking a simple return to the main screen, and hidden important sections, like the number of collected points, left loyal customers, like myself included, frustrated.
In the midst of my thesis, circumstances led me to Moj DM—a perfect case study calling for a UX/UI revamp. Determined to enhance the app's user journey, my primary focus centered on providing users with effortless access to essential card information. From conveniently tracking collected points to introducing a accesible digital card code for in-store use, along with seamless coupon access for discounts, my goal was to create an intuitive and streamlined experience. In addition to enhancing the user experience, optimizing access to the online store became a secondary focus for the Moj DM redesign.
