Security Assessment of Satellite Comm GUI System

I was tasked with conducting a comprehensive security assessment of the Satellite Communication GUI, a web portal designed to facilitate communication between satellites and ground stations. The client’s objective was to evaluate the portal’s security, identify vulnerabilities, and provide a thorough report with remediation strategies and best practice recommendations to safeguard the system. The assessment involved rigorous manual and automated testing to uncover potential security flaws within the portal’s configuration, code, and communication processes. One challenge was ensuring that the portal’s critical satellite communication functionalities were not disrupted during testing. Through the assessment, I identified key vulnerabilities and provided the client with a detailed remediation strategy. This report offered both immediate actions to mitigate the identified risks and long-term recommendations to strengthen the system’s security posture, ensuring the protection of sensitive satellite data and operations.
