When I heard FKJ's "Us" for the first time and couldn't stop playing it. You know that feeling when a song just hits different?
This was it for me.
I wanted more people to experience it the way I did, so I made this lyrics video.
Here's what happened:
I started timing out the lyrics, but then I hit those long instrumental stretches: beautiful, dreamy passages where there's no singing at all.
The screen felt empty...
I needed visuals that wouldn't compete with the music but would give you something to feel while you listened.
At the time, I was testing out Canva's stock video library, so I made a challenge for myself: could I build an entire music video using only stock footage?
Just curated videos from Canva, carefully chosen to match the mood. Each one selected to flow with the song's atmosphere. That mix of intimacy and expansiveness that makes "Us" so special.
The Technical Reality:
6 minutes and 15 seconds of footage
Synchronized lyrics timed to the exact millisecond
100% Canva stock video (yes, really, every single frame)
Zero affiliation with FKJ or his label
Created purely as a fan project
Sit back and let this wash over you. FKJ creates music that feels like a conversation between instruments, and I wanted the visuals to support that without getting in the way.
