Urban Survival Gear faced a major disruption in their eCommerce flow when their Google Merchant Center (GMC) account was suspended due to policy violations. This suspension caused their product ads to be removed from Google Shopping, significantly impacting traffic and sales. The client was unsure of the exact causes and had received limited guidance from Google’s support.

We conducted a full diagnostic review of Urban Survival Gear’s GMC account and shopping feed. Our recovery plan included:

Policy Violation Audit: Identified and documented all violations causing the suspension, including issues related to return policies, product data accuracy, and restricted items.

Feed Cleanup: Corrected feed data issues such as missing GTINs, mismatched pricing, disapproved images, and incomplete product descriptions.

Site Policy Alignment: Updated the client's website to reflect Google Shopping’s policy requirements—especially around returns, contact info, and secure checkout.

Appeal Submission: Crafted a compliant and detailed appeal to Google, addressing all previously noted violations with evidence of correction.

Ongoing Monitoring: Implemented a structured monitoring system to ensure future feed submissions remain compliant and optimized.

GMC Reinstated: The account was reinstated within 7 days of submitting the appeal.

Product Approval Rate: Increased product approval rate to over 98%.

Improved ROAS: Ad performance recovered rapidly, and ROAS improved by 35% in the first month post-restoration.

Increased Visibility: Products returned to Google Shopping with enhanced visibility due to feed and policy optimization.
