Update Shopify Theme for Enlightened Beverages

I originally designed their Shopify website a while ago, but the theme Mobilia that the website used was discontinued by the theme developers, so it was time to upgrade the theme to something more current. Enlightened Beverages approached me to make this update, and the theme has been successfully updated and is now live.

The client and I have a collaborative meeting to pick out a new theme, we settled on the Parallax theme.

My approach to this project was to duplicate the existing store/theme and work on the duplicate while the store remained live with the old theme.

I then looked at all the apps that the store used and determined which apps were theme independent and would automatically work with the new theme and also figured out which themes had embedded code that needed to be transferred with the theme. In this situation I may transfer the code myself, and also the app developers sometimes want to transfer the code themselves, which works too.

When working on a Shopify Theme update, depending on the theme there is sometimes a theme updater tool that can assist with the update and sometimes I complete it all manually. It is important to always check that all the settings have carried over. At this point I will upload the logo and adjust the colors and typography to the stores branded colors and fonts. When the header and footer design is complete, then I will work on other areas of the store

Further tweaks were made to the theme to make some menu and Home Page changes and then the new store theme was launched.
