Stem Cell Biotechnology

Stem cell technology is fascinating but combative and energetic science. This research help in treating human disease. Trends in stem cell biology includes stem cell mechanics, tissue engineering and cells genetic reprogramming and finally the stem cell biotechnology (Bacakova et al., 2018). A lot of work is happening on stem cell therapy, cancer stem cells, embryonic stem cells, stem cell transplantation, bone marrow stem cells, regenerative medicines, molecular and cellular medicines, neural stem cells, adipose derived stem cells and ageing (Ullah, Subbarao, & Rho, 2015). Latest studies shows that human stem cells are effective tissue specific cells to test new medicines. Pluripotent embryonic stem cells can be differentiated into all kind of cells like germ cells but not the whole organism (Yoshida et al., 2014). Multipotent cells can form a specific group of cells like mesenchymal cells or hematopoietic cells. Unipoitent cells can only generate single cell type (Abad et al., 2013). Biophysical and biochemical properties of stem cells are important to create healthy and accurate cells and tissues and to repair diseased organs (Mahla, 2016).
By the use of tissue specific selection and incomplete reprogramming, Induced Pluripotent specific Stem cells (iPSCs) are recently generated (Kumar, Sharma, Pattnaik, & Varadwaj, 2010). More advancements are made in stem cells therapy by knowing pluripotency of embryonic stem cells in 1998 (Thomson et al., 1998). This create many ethical issues (Volarevic et al., 2018) and scope for stem cells become limited but in 2007 iPSCs are created again and gain importance (Noguchi, Miyagi-Shiohira, & Nakashima, 2018; Yu et al., 2007). Stem cells therapy can bear tissue insufficiency and graft rejection during transplantation.
