In August 2023, I worked with a UK campervan conversion company to create a starter SEO strategy and a framework to develop it further in-house. They had good word of mouth marketing, but had recently launched their first website and wanted to expand their reach in across the UK.

Results

Over 2000 sessions generated in ~6 weeks from deployment 📈
Average session duration of >1m 30s and engagement rate of ~75% ⏰

My process

Installed GA4 through GTM to enable accurate reporting and created a lead form submission conversion/key event
Conducted keyword research for core service terms, longer tail queries (how to etc.) and branded terms specific to vehicle models
Prioritised by keyword difficulty, priority and volume, I optimised existing page content and metadata, creating new content where appropriate
Expanded strategy to cover FAQs and long tail terms - a gap not filled by competitors - phrases such as "How long does a custom campervan conversion take?".
Captured extra demand through targeting brand/make/model keywords e.g. ford transit camper conversion, by creating case study and project pages utilising their existing content and previous work
Light technical audit and deployment of technical SEO fixes
Developed a basic content strategy that could be easily deployed in-house to build on early results
