HP ZBook Power Cinematic Product Commercial

VFX Supervisor and Lead on an innovative 3D commercial for HP's ZBook Power laptop, delivered in Intel and AMD versions, produced in partnership with Accenture and Pixeldust Studios. Responsible for all creative look development, lighting and rendering — the laptop and the environments both — adhering to Accenture's specifications.

The ZBook Power was designed specifically for architects and product designers, so it was key that the visuals resonated with the world those people live in. The work ran from conceptualization through to final finish, exploring a number of avenues and creative decisions to find ways to uniquely immerse the laptop in environments that mirror its power and highlight its features.

Considerable creative time went into look developing backgrounds and environments fabricated from the shapes of buildings, structures and furniture. Through lighting and shading, those forms are revealed in abstract — each arriving at its optimum presence as the sequence progresses, rather than reading all at once.

Visualized across a range of dynamic angles, moods and lighting states to capture its edged features, and built into a CGI sequence that parallels HP's other signature ZBook commercials.
