Visual Exploration of Desires and the Succubus Myth

Some dreams can be perilously seductive, and pursuing them may seem like sheer madness. Succubi emerge to torment us in our nightmares, and beware—falling into their traps means becoming their puppet for eternity. Is this reality, or merely a dream? You’d best start running, for she is coming for you.

We saw a chance to delve into the complexities of our internal desires and how they can sometimes turn against us. Drawing inspiration from the mythological figure of the succubus, we explored the idea of desires manifesting as seductive, malevolent forces. According to mythology, succubi possess their victims and turn them into puppets if they fall into their traps. This dark and captivating theme became the heart of our project. Through this visual journey, we aimed to capture the intense, almost dreamlike experience of being haunted by something both alluring and dangerous, mirroring the band's powerful and evocative sound.

To bring this vision to life, we filmed over the course of a single day and night in a vast, old concrete brewery. The stark, industrial setting provided an ideal backdrop for our narrative, with its labyrinthine corridors and shadowy corners evoking a sense of an unending nightmare. We played extensively with lights and shadows to create a haunting atmosphere, emphasizing the blurred line between reality and dream.
