Camera Operation for WarpedYT's Youtube Channel

As a camera operator for WarpedYT, a YouTube channel with over 1.45 million subscribers, I contributed to the production of the video “This Pulse Jet is Insane,” which has already garnered more than 94,000 views.

Working alongside Matt, the creator behind WarpedYT, has been an incredibly educational experience. His emphasis on professional shot management and efficiency has sharpened my understanding of composition, movement, and visual storytelling. One key takeaway has been the principle of keeping the camera focused on the action. Wherever the viewer’s eyes naturally gravitate, that’s where the camera should follow.

This project gave me the opportunity to capture dynamic, high-energy scenes while maintaining clarity and flow, ultimately contributing to WarpedYT’s signature cinematic yet accessible style.

I served as a camera operator on WarpedYT’s video “A Pulse Jet Engine That Runs On Gasoline,” contributing to the visual storytelling on a project that showcases the raw power and engineering of a gasoline-fueled pulse jet engine.

Working with Matt continued to be an invaluable learning experience. His professional shooting workflow, attention to shot planning, and decisive camera placement have expanded my ability to capture fast-moving mechanical content with clarity and impact. One of the biggest lessons I’ve taken from this project is anticipating where the action will happen and positioning the camera so every crucial moment is framed and emphasized effectively.
