Targets ₹5,000 Crore Student Innovation Impact from India’s ₹5 Lakh Crore+ Opportunity

India, March 11, 2026: DreamXec today announced the launch of its student research and innovation crowdfunding platform, www.dreamxec.com, aimed at expanding access to funding for India’s 43.3 million higher education students.
Positioned as India’s first dedicated platform for student research and innovation funding, DreamXec seeks to democratize access to financial support for students developing early-stage ideas across fields such as healthcare, agriculture, clean energy, and climate technology.
Across thousands of colleges in India, promising ideas often remain confined to notebooks, lab reports, and student laptops.
From affordable medical devices to sustainable irrigation systems and renewable energy solutions, many of these ideas never move beyond the concept stage. The challenge is rarely a lack of talent or ambition. More often, it is the lack of accessible funding.

Addressing an Overlooked Funding Gap

India has more than 43 million students enrolled across over 43,000 higher education institutions, yet meaningful research funding reaches only a small percentage of them.
While premier institutions receive substantial research grants, students in Tier-2 and Tier-3 colleges frequently struggle to raise even ₹50,000 to build a prototype.
For many, the process of applying for grants is complex, slow, and discouraging — leading promising projects to remain unfinished. DreamXec aims to bridge this gap by creating a structured and transparent platform where students can present their projects and raise funding directly from supporters.

Connecting Students, Alumni and CSR Contributors

DreamXec connects verified college students with alumni, individual supporters, and corporate CSR contributors through a milestone-based funding model designed to ensure transparency and accountability. Through the platform, students can:
Create a verified profile using their institutional email
Upload project proposals with defined funding goals
Receive optional faculty endorsements
Launch their projects for public support with transparent progress tracking
Supporters can browse projects, contribute directly, and monitor how funds are utilized. “We’re building the missing bridge in India’s research ecosystem,” said Ashish Trivedi, Founder and CEO of DreamXec.
“Alumni want to give back, CSR funds are available, institutions are under pressure to increase research output, and students have ideas worth backing. But there hasn’t been a transparent, structured way to connect all of them.”
He added, “At a time when policies such as NEP 2020 and initiatives like the RDI scheme are emphasizing research and innovation, our goal is to support the entire ecosystem — students, faculty, alumni, institutions, CSR partners and government — by helping them collaborate more effectively.”

Built for Trust and Transparency

Trust and accountability are central to DreamXec’s model. Projects undergo multi-layer verification, and funds are released in milestones linked to project progress.
“India has the scale. What we needed was infrastructure,” said Sanskar Seth, Co-Founder and Tech Lead at DreamXec.
“We’ve built DreamXec to support millions of students while maintaining strong accountability standards. Innovation shouldn’t depend on geography.”
India frequently speaks about its demographic dividend. However, demographic advantage can translate into innovation advantage only when opportunities are widely distributed.
Across the country, students are working on solutions in agriculture, climate technology, healthcare, and sustainable engineering.
With early support, many of these projects could evolve into startups, patents, or scalable social impact ventures. Without that support, they risk remaining unfinished experiments. DreamXec aims to change that.

Roadmap and Early Goals

At launch, DreamXec plans to onboard:
100 colleges across India
50 verified student projects in high-impact sectors
Early alumni and corporate CSR partnerships
Over the next five years, the platform aims to support 400,000 students and mobilize ₹5,000 crore toward student-led innovation projects.

About DreamXec

Founded in 2025, DreamXec is India’s first platform dedicated exclusively to funding student research and innovation projects through a transparent, milestone-driven model.
The platform fills a critical gap in India’s innovation ecosystem — bridging the space between early-stage ideation programs in schools and later-stage startup funding available to entrepreneurs.
By enabling early support for student ideas, DreamXec aims to help transform academic projects into real-world innovations.
