Positioned as India’s first dedicated platform for student research and innovation funding, DreamXec seeks to democratize access to financial support for students developing early-stage ideas across fields such as healthcare, agriculture, clean energy, and climate technology.

Across thousands of colleges in India, promising ideas often remain confined to notebooks, lab reports, and student laptops.

From affordable medical devices to sustainable irrigation systems and renewable energy solutions, many of these ideas never move beyond the concept stage. The challenge is rarely a lack of talent or ambition. More often, it is the lack of accessible funding.

India has more than 43 million students enrolled across over 43,000 higher education institutions, yet meaningful research funding reaches only a small percentage of them.

While premier institutions receive substantial research grants, students in Tier-2 and Tier-3 colleges frequently struggle to raise even ₹50,000 to build a prototype.

For many, the process of applying for grants is complex, slow, and discouraging — leading promising projects to remain unfinished. DreamXec aims to bridge this gap by creating a structured and transparent platform where students can present their projects and raise funding directly from supporters.

DreamXec connects verified college students with alumni, individual supporters, and corporate CSR contributors through a milestone-based funding model designed to ensure transparency and accountability. Through the platform, students can:

Create a verified profile using their institutional email

Upload project proposals with defined funding goals

Receive optional faculty endorsements

Launch their projects for public support with transparent progress tracking

Supporters can browse projects, contribute directly, and monitor how funds are utilized. “We’re building the missing bridge in India’s research ecosystem,” said Ashish Trivedi, Founder and CEO of DreamXec.

“Alumni want to give back, CSR funds are available, institutions are under pressure to increase research output, and students have ideas worth backing. But there hasn’t been a transparent, structured way to connect all of them.”
