Challenge

As an open and advanced real-time 3D creation tool, Unreal Engine is seeking a more accessible way to customize the engine’s interface to improve developer and artist workflows and accessibility for creators worldwide.

Impact

I led the end-to-end design and implementation of UE’s theme-sharing feature, enabling theme customization, import and export, resulting in ~80% time reduction to customize themes.
After the release of UE 5.1 in November 2022, we anticipate a surge in theme downloads and an increase in community-contributed themes across the Epic Online Community.
