Hello Queen,
How is my favorite girl doing?
Welcome to this month's issue of HER Letters. First thing first Happy New month my Queen.
Did you know that May is the month of roses?
Who doesn't love roses, except you're allergic to them oops😅
Hope you enjoyed the last issue girl, and I’m glad you now have a broader knowledge of what PMS, PCOS and PPSM are all about and how district they are.
Remember your feelings are super duper valid and any dude who’s out there saying “It’s not that deep” show them some karate moves…
Just kidding, I think educating them will be enough😂
In this edition we are going to talk about quite an interesting topic and permit me to whisper “controversial”.
I’m going to be your new Sherlock Holmes and uncover the truth about vaginal health and how to care for that beauty down there.
I'm sure you’ve heard about a ton of things concerned with how to care for your vagina, Tiktok has a ridiculous number of videos with different tips and tricks, it’s hard to tell what is true and what’s not.
Let's be real, most guys on that app are just after the views, so don't be surprised if they tell you to drink rice water to boost vaginal health🙂↔️
But that’s exactly what this edition is about my Queen!
My aim is to prove to you that what’s popular isn’t necessarily true, I'm picking out the most popular fallacies about vaginal health and shooting them down.
Stay with me, now.
MYTH #1
“A loose vagina means too much sex”
If we didn’t have your attention before, we sure we have it now😏
We’ve all heard this. Some of us have even come to believe it but that’s not necessarily the case.
A loose vagina is caused by a variety of factors, exercise, childbirth, significant weight changes, among others.
The most interesting part?
You don’t have to worry over a loose vagina, especially after childbirth because your body’s snapback game is up there!
Yes, your vagina naturally tightens again but if you want to speed up the process, try pelvic floor exercises like bridges and wall sits.
MYTH #2
“Vaginal discharge is bad”
Vaginal discharge is, in fact, your vagina’s way of cleaning itself. In fact, a vagina without discharge is likely to be a vagina with a problem.
So normal vaginal discharge is completely okay! It is only when discharge changes colour, smell, or consistency that there may be cause for concern.
MYTH #3
“You need to clean your vagina with special products”
No. You don’t. Matter of fact, you may be endangering yourself doing this.
You see, your vagina has its way of taking care of itself so you really don’t have to do much.
A simple rinse is okay!
MYTH #4
“Vaginas look the same”
You may not necessarily have heard this from anyone as this is typically a general assumption.
But every vagina is as unique as you are!
The labia, clitoris, and even the vaginal opening vary from person to person in size, shape, and colour.
Even more proof that you are the only one of you!
MYTH #5
“You can ‘reset’ your vagina with certain detox
treatments”
No. Your vagina’s perfectly fine. If it needs resetting, it’ll do it all by itself.
You truly don’t have to worry yourself so much. You’re good, girl!
From head-to-toe, your body takes care of itself, doing whatever needs to be done of its own accord.
Activities like drinking water, eating properly, and getting enough rest are so that you don’t end up antagonizing your body.
Your body, like you, does not like getting unnecessary help, and if you do too much, you may end up creating problems that weren’t there before.
So live life, breathe air. You’re perfect, darling.
