THE CHALLENGE Blerb is a SaaS business that helps real estate agents to generate copy for their adverts in record time, making use of some pretty crafty technology. They had an existing web app, the design of which had been largely developer-led. The company had received mixed feedback from their customers, and recognised that it was time to take a more user-centric approach in the design of their offering. I worked with Blerb through my UX agency, Heroic. THE SOLUTION I interviewed a cross-section of their users to understand exactly where things were going wrong, and the findings of these sessions were then turned into a report. I then created a prototype that emulated the main user journey through the software. The prototype was then usability tested with another group of participants, and a further report synthesised before final modifications were made and the prototype turned over for full development. I also provided Blerb with a complete digital style guide, so that each of their interface components could be created and maintained according to a brand-centric series of styles. THE RESULT Blerb has been able to use many of the findings of UX process to further enhance their offering and increase their user base more rapidly.
