Optimizing Database Performance in a High-Traffic Application - Genpact's Genome Platform
I worked on Genpact's Genome platform, a high-traffic application used by a large number of users. My primary responsibility was to maintain and optimize its database for peak performance. I focused on ensuring that the database could handle high user demand efficiently, minimizing latency and improving response times.
To achieve this, I implemented performance-tuning techniques such as query optimization, indexing strategies, and database schema enhancements. I also monitored and analyzed database performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Additionally, I implemented caching strategies and optimized data retrieval processes to ensure scalability and reliability.
By applying these optimizations, I significantly improved the platform's overall performance, ensuring that it could handle increased traffic without sacrificing speed or reliability. This project showcased my ability to manage large-scale databases and deliver results in high-demand environments.
