How to Stop Snoring?

Losing weight if overweight or obese. This can reduce the fatty tissue around the neck and improve the airflow.
Avoiding alcohol, sedatives, and sleeping pills before bed. These can worsen snoring by relaxing the muscles and tissues in the throat.
Quitting smoking if you're a smoker. Smoking can irritate and inflame the nasal and throat tissues and make snoring worse.
Treating allergies, a cold, or a sinus infection. These can cause nasal congestion and make breathing difficult. Using nasal sprays, decongestants, or antihistamines can help clear the nasal passages and reduce snoring.
Changing the sleeping position. Sleeping on the side or elevating the head can prevent the tongue and soft palate from falling back and blocking the airway.
