The day is over and the sky is a fiery saffron.

Major Dixit is leading his troops along the battle lines.

The battlefront is on the verge of collapse. The enemy, a ruthless paramilitary calling itself the Crimson Vultures, has launched a surprise attack and the city is now in the news, with reports of it crumbling in an instant.

Zek sprinted down the rubble-strewn street, rifle clutched tightly in his hands. His squad—Lieutenant Sarah Cole, Sergeant Mason Briggs, and Corporal Diego Vasquez—moved forward with precision, their eyes scanning every shadow. Their orders were clear: secure the city's last power grid and hold it until reinforcements arrive, in addition to the troops coming in later.

"It's our job to advance!" Sarah yelled from a distance over the crackle of gunfire. "The Vultures are our target!"

Jack nodded and gave a hand signal for them to come. They began running onto the autobahn, amid bullets bursting like mosquitoes. Mason fired a barrage of bullets to spread out the Giant Shooter bullets, knocking an enemy sniper off the balcony.

Jack ran in the direction of the main control room. The city's defenses were deteriorating, and without power, the remaining forces would be left blind. He rebooted the terminal and re-dispatched the emergency reserve, but the system flashed red: a critical failure in the underground ducts.

"Damn it," he muttered. "The Vultures broke the main lines. We'll have to repair them manually."

Before any answers, a deafening bomb blast rocked the building. Here, the Vultures have arrived.

The first wave was strong. Grenades began hitting the walls, sending showers of concrete and steel across the room. Jack and his team gathered, took cover behind the consoles and returned fire.

"We got screwed!" Mason roared as he loaded a round into his weapon. "We need help finding a way out!"

Sarah pointed to a maintenance shaft. "We can use that to access the drain below!"

Jack nodded in agreement. "Cover me!"

If only Jack could go down with the team, firing. He sprints in the direction of H. He opens the hatch door, and then walks away, leaving the team in pitch darkness at once.

He was pretty sure the Inquirers were not the kind of guards they used to make shore entries. Ironically, these slow tarporings only managed to increase their stealth, yet couldn't use handheld tarporings like the mini battleships and others.

The sound of boots echoed behind them as they moved forward. The Vultures weren't far away.

"They're chasing us," Diego whispered, "we must fly faster."

They reached the trap room - a tall steel building adorned with useless circuit panels. Jack began to act, bypassing the network precautions. Sarah and Mason took up defensive positions overlooking the tunnels.

As Jack reactivated the power grid, the enemies struck.

The Sidhias swarmed into the room, their darkness wiping out bullets. The injured shopkeepers' shoulders were on the ground but the action continued. Mason lost the battle and was wiped out after taking out two enemies and then fell silent.

Jack and Sarah fought side by side, their backs against the humming drain. Sarah fired a flashbang, buying them precious seconds. Jack finished off the last of the enemies with precise shots.

Blooded and kneeling Scarred, they began their climb back up the solid mountain, where reinforcements were coming from afar. The town still stood as it was. - For now.

"We showed up, Saab." Jack looked at Sarah.

She nodded, breathing hard. "For Mason."

As the first rays of dawn broke over Ravenholm, Jack realized the war wasn't over yet. But for now, they had won the one battle that really mattered.
