The client was from the US. I had been designing and developing pages using the Elementor Pro builder for years. However, at some point we needed custom PHP and JS coding so I turned to more skilled developers for help. That's how I gradually started taking on the WordPress Project Manager role.
Project management-related work:
I convinced the client to migrate from a shared hosting to a managed-VPS hosting. Result: improved performance, staging creation process, saved money (cause the website admin panel also started to loaded faster for freelancers).
Worked with a PHP developer to implement custom features that required coding.
Worked with a UX/UI designer and an Elementor developer to make an updated design of some pages. The client liked it but in a few months decided not to follow it to save budget.
The Promo Page that I created:
On this promo page, a visitor can only submit the form after entering a promo code they received at a special company event.
Other marketing-related work that I did:
Set up Google Analytics.
Integrated a Zoho form.
Connected the site to Google Search Console.
Suggested to start writing articles in the blog to improve SEO traffic.
Suggested to improve the brand perception by hiring a dedicated UX/UI designer to make the website appear more professional. It’s important because the company is selling visual products and presentation of them matters.
