Savage Content hired me to turn an extraordinary story into a documentary film. It was an incredible journey for me as a documentary filmmaker and editor to shape "ALL WITHOUT WORDS," a feature-length documentary about Justin Morell, a talented composer. He was inspired by his experience as a parent to a nonverbal autistic son, Loren, and created a jazz masterpiece with his longtime friend, trumpet soloist John Daversa. As the director, producer and editor for the project, I pitched the approach for the story, wrote a working script, designed the production, managed the budget and crew, edited the narrative and collaborated with the colorist, motion graphic designer, music supervisors and sound designer. At the end, my client's overwhelming satisfaction with the result, a feature-length documentary soon to be released, was a testament to the success of our collaboration.
