Hotel AKA Brickell
Day 1: Friday – Immersing in Miami’s Unique Flavors
Morning:
Ah, Miami! I couldn’t wait to dive into the city’s vibrant energy. I stayed at theHotel AKA Brickell. It was such an amazing hotel to stay at 10/10 recommend. I started my day with a classic Cuban breakfast at Versailles Restaurant – the aroma of strong coffee and warm pastries instantly transported me to the heart of Havana.
Late Morning:
Walking through the Wynwood Arts District was like stepping into a living canvas. The colors, the creativity – it’s impossible not to be captivated by the street art that adorns every corner.
Lunch:
The grumbling in my stomach led me to Coyo Taco, where I devoured some of the best street-style tacos I’ve ever had. The fusion of flavors was a true testament to Miami’s cultural diversity.
Afternoon:
The Design District was a playground for my inner aesthete. I may not be a high-end shopper, but the architectural marvels and public art installations made it a sight to remember.
Evening:
I ended the day at Time Out Market Miami, a foodie’s paradise. The choices were overwhelming, but each bite was an explosion of taste – a perfect way to wrap up day one in this culinary haven.
Day 2: Saturday – Embracing the Sun and Sights
Morning:
South Beach at sunrise is something out of a postcard. The gentle waves, the soft sands, and the Art Deco buildings along Ocean Drive were like a dream come true.
Late Morning:
Walking through the Art Deco Historic District was like stepping back in time. The colorful buildings told stories of an era gone by, and the Art Deco Welcome Center offered a fascinating history lesson.
Lunch:
Joe’s Stone Crab was a restaurant I had heard about, and the taste lived up to the hype. Those succulent stone crab claws were a true delicacy.
Afternoon:
The Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) was a journey through contemporary art. Each exhibit left me pondering and appreciating the beauty in diverse perspectives.
Evening:
Little Havana beckoned with its rhythm and soul. The sounds of salsa and the aroma of cigars filled the air at Ball & Chain, making it the perfect spot to let loose and dance the night away.
Day 3: Sunday – Serenity and Farewell
Morning:
Key Biscayne was a serene escape from the city’s hustle. Biking through Crandon Park and climbing the Cape Florida Lighthouse was the perfect way to start a peaceful morning.
Late Morning:
Brunch at EAST Miami was a culinary delight, and the rooftop views of the city were a reminder of how Miami blends modernity with nature.
Afternoon:
The sleek elegance of Brickell City Centre lured me in. I may not be a big shopper, but window-shopping here was a treat in itself.
Evening:
As the sun set, I embarked on a tranquil sunset cruise on Biscayne Bay. The glittering city skyline and the gentle waves bid me farewell in the most picturesque way.
Miami, you’ve been a whirlwind of culture, flavors, and experiences. Until next time, gracias for the memories! #MiamiWeekend #FlavorsOfMiami #ArtAndSoul
