We use Codex to work directly with repositories: investigating bugs, implementing scoped features, reviewing changes, running tests, and handling repetitive tasks. Claude Code supports the broader reasoning process. It helps us explore requirements, understand larger contexts, evaluate architectural decisions, and organize documentation. The value is not simply generating more code. It is reducing the friction between understanding a problem, building the solution, and verifying that it works.
