Project Goal

Create an immersive motion visual experience that leaves a lasting impression on the viewer.
The core idea revolves around the multi-modal sensation of "click" — the moment a game cartridge slots into a console. The snap of insertion, the sound effect, the motion, and the depth-map gradient transition all work together to make that single "ka-click" moment stick in the viewer's mind, building a shared sensory consensus across sight and sound.

Workflow Breakdown

Google Gemini — Video Content Generation & Prompt Engineering

Used Gemini's video generation capabilities to produce the base 3D-rendered style footage of the game console and cartridge. Iterative prompt engineering was key to achieving the right material texture, lighting angle, and insertion motion that felt physically convincing.

ComfyUI — Depth Map Generation via AI Model Workflow

Built a custom ComfyUI workflow leveraging AI depth estimation models to generate per-frame depth maps from the source video. These depth maps became the foundation for the gradient transition effect, enabling precise layer separation between foreground and background elements.

Adobe After Effects — Masking, Color Light Effects & Transition

Applied computer vision-driven masking in After Effects to isolate the cartridge and console layers using the depth map data. Layered color light effects and gradient wipes onto the masked regions to create the final transition — a seamless blend from the depth-map visualization into the full-color rendered scene.
