1. Problem & Context
People need a super-fast way to record their screen and instantly share it, without installing heavy tools, exporting, or uploading manually. REC3RD set out to make “hit record → share” as simple as possible.
2. Goal of the MVP
Validate whether there is real market demand for an ultra-lightweight, browser-based recorder with instant sharing.
3. My Role & Stack
Built together with a friend. I contributed to:
Core recording workflow
YouTube upload & sharing
UI and feature development
Stack: Chrome Extension APIs, JavaScript, OAuth, YouTube API, WebRTC
4. Approach & Key Decisions
Prioritized speed + zero-friction UX
Direct upload to YouTube instead of building storage
Simple controls (record → stop → share)
Skipped heavy features like editing or cloud dashboards
Focused only on screen + webcam recording done fast
5. Outcome & Impact
150+ signups shortly after launch

Confirmed strong demand for quick async recording
Clear validation: people want “record → share” without friction
