Lewis Chessmen - Historical Adventure Game Art

Jara Ventures LTD commissioned Julia Aliper to create a set of illustrations for their Adventure Game based on London locations. The task was to illustrate the famous Lewis Chessmen set - 12th century chess pieces carved from walrus ivory and whale teeth, exhibited in Medieval Europe room in the British Museum; each piece should be drawn separately so they could be moved around, removed, etc. if necessary for the gameplay. Some other illustrations were also created for the game.
