🔍 Project Overview
This project included the production of one book trailer and two holiday-themed book ads for a Polish publishing house and bookstore operating under two brands: Prohibita and Multibook.
The scope combined structured, guideline-based work with fully independent creative execution.
The book trailer achieved over 79,000 views on YouTube, making it the second best-performing video on the client’s channel, which confirms the effectiveness of the final execution and pacing.
🛠️ What I Did
Book Trailer
For the book trailer (a biography of a well-known Polish sculptor), my role focused on precise execution rather than concept development:
Edited the video strictly according to a detailed storyboard prepared by the graphic designer
Used predefined B-roll materials provided by the designer
Followed visual and narrative guidelines without improvisation
Collaborated with the designer using Figma for feedback and revisions
Book Ads
For the two Christmas-themed book ads (one historical book and one religious book set), I handled the entire creative process independently:
Developed the concept and structure from scratch
Wrote scripts and copy with the help of ChatGPT
Selected appropriate B-roll materials
Chose fonts, music, and visual pacing
Edited and finalized the videos based on my own creative vision
Advised the client on proper music attribution for Instagram to avoid copyright issues
All videos were prepared for publication on YouTube and Instagram.
💡 Tools & Techniques
Edited in DaVinci Resolve, using:
– B-roll selection
– Music selection and syncing
– Clipping and cropping
– Text on screen
This project demonstrates my ability to work in two different production modes:
executing clearly defined creative guidelines with precision, and independently building promotional video content from concept to final delivery. The strong organic performance of the book trailer also shows my ability to translate a creative vision into a video that resonates with a real audience.
