CoachHub's new content library needed a new promo video. The requests were simple: Stay on brand. Create a narrative driven Video. Showcase the product in a visually engaging way.

ChachHub has a very distinctive Brand and Illustration Style. My first challenge was to sketch out the scenes staying in alignment with the Brand and CoachHub's strict color palette.

I started with the backgrounds and settings as per the narrative script, identifying the main primary for that scene taken from CoachHub's color palette and then building the scene elements from secondary colors derived form the primary color. Next I worked on the Characters - CoachHub also has a distinctive Character style and Illustration Style, one that I contributed in creating as well, so I knew the style though and through. It was important to have cultural, racial and gender diversity for the characters.

The next phase of planning and illustration involved understanding the product intimately. The key features. The technical process. The experience for the user from start to end. I had to become a user of the product myself to understand which parts of the product needed highlighting and how. I started with a full product flow, using screens and stills from the actual product, mixing with custom illustration of the product made just for the animation.

Finally, we ended up with 2d animation produced with voice over, sound effects, music, driven by a narrative and characters. The product animation I made was used in all CoachHub Marketing channels and help build them a very wide and lively customer base that got interested in teh product by watching this promo video.
