During the second half of year 2023 a contest took place to choose the default wallpaper to be used in the upcoming version of the Linux Desktop Environment Plasma 6 by KDE.

As a user of the Desktop and a part of the community I decided to participate and came up with Nova, a beautiful abstract outer space scene with some neon colours trying to convey a feeling of determination, evolution and modernity, but also happiness, creativity and playfulness. At the front you can see a planet with its moon, and a spaceship passing by to say hi!

The wallpaper was made entirely on Inkscape. I also made a bunch of versions in different colours, if you want to check my original submission to the contest here's the link. I didn't win anything but it was fun to participate!
