Self Portaits Drawn in the Style Of Various Cartoons :: Behance

"Self Portrait in the Style Of... [Enter Cartoon Name Here]" was my daily art challenge for a month. Some of these illustrations took 2 hours, some took 6. All were drawn on my iPad in Procreate.

It was interesting switching line weights and color schemes and studying various characters in thirty different shows with very different styles. I had to rewatch a lot of cartoons. I learned way more than I thought I would and I thoroughly enjoyed the tedium. It was a visual negotiation between illustrating in recognizably famous styles, but still making a unique character that resembled myself.
