Melacare is a Korean skincare brand owned by Daily Beauty. The product is offered in Korea, hence the client prefers a clean, modern Korean design.

We begin the project by conducting market research to learn about the current packaging design trends for high-end skincare products and cosmetics in Korea.

Route 1: Typographic packaging & the cream texture

How to depict the cream in a “graphic” way? I recall a photography trick where we apply cream to the lens, which creates a blur effect at the edges of the photo. So I thought that we could combine that blur effect with typography

There is another approach to produce an abstract cream illustration. If we apply some cream on a flat surface/object andthen press the two pieces together, we will be able to observe a really interesting pattern made by the cream.

Still using this cream texture idea but with a more graphic approach, by combining the cream texture with a circle from a Skin Magnifier lens.
