Whiskers in the Wild: Multi-Year Pinniped Documentation

Whiskers in the Wild is an ongoing fieldwork series documenting the lives of California sea lions at Channel Islands Harbor and nearby beaches. Each entry blends real-time wildlife observations and candid photography, capturing the daily life of the colony and the patterns and challenges that shape it as they unfold.
All material featured is created in strict alignment with our Admire from Afar™ ethics: no baiting, no staging, no AI-generated visuals, and always a considerate distance maintained with professional telephoto equipment. Our fieldwork centers on observing animals in their natural environment, guided by a commitment to conservation, genuine storytelling, and the long-term well-being of the animals and habitats we document.
